What is an SEO-optimised website?
An SEO-optimised website is built so that every page is indexable, carries a single topic and answers the search intent a person opens it with. The technical base — canonical, hreflang, sitemap, schema.org, speed — is finished before launch, not repaired afterwards. Content and linking bring the traffic; the technical side prevents good content from never reaching the results at all.
What the price of an SEO-optimised website includes
Building a website is not one job but four layers that have to work together. If one is missing, the whole site suffers.
| Layer | What it contains | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Technical SEO | Indexability, one canonical per page, hreflang pairs between languages, a sitemap with real lastmod, robots.txt, 404 and redirects | Search engines must read the pages unambiguously, or some of them drop out of the index |
| Structure | One H1 per page, a table of contents, hub-and-spoke linking between service pages and articles, readable URLs | Linking shows which page is the centre of a topic and which pages support it |
| Content | A content plan from real search demand, one page per intent, the answer in the first paragraph, sources and dates | A page that answers immediately earns the click and survives into an AI answer |
| Speed and measurement | Static build, images at the right size, Core Web Vitals measurement, Search Console, IndexNow notification | A slow site loses ranking and visitors; without measurement you do not know what works |
Schema.org markup goes with every page: service, article, frequently asked questions, breadcrumbs and author. It is not decoration — it gives search engines and AI systems precise facts about the page.
GEO: will AI search find your page?
People no longer always reach the page: increasingly they read the answer in an AI search result. For that, the page has to be citable — the answer must still hold up when the context is cut away.
Answer before explanation
Every important page opens with an answer that stands on its own and can be quoted without the surrounding text.
Facts, not filler
Prices, deadlines and requirements with a source and a date. Citable text is checkable text.
Access for AI crawlers
robots.txt allows search and AI crawlers where that serves you, and Content-Signal states how the content may be used.
llms.txt and llms-full.txt
A machine-readable summary of the site. Google Search does not use it, but for AI agents it is a cheap way to understand the content.
An honest limit: appearing in AI answers cannot be measured with a single number. You can check hand-picked queries, keep the technical side in order and write so that the answer is citable. The rest is the search engine's decision.
Proof: this site itself
I do not sell a method I do not use. arletop.com is built exactly this way: a static site without heavy frameworks and without npm dependencies, schema.org markup on every page, a sitemap with real modification dates, every language version linked with an hreflang pair, an og card per page, robots.txt and llms.txt present. Open the source and check.
The second example is tehisabiline.ee — my cybersecurity company's site, built on the same principle: technical base before content, content before decoration. GSC data shows 14 impressions on 20 October 2026 and 159 on 26 October 2026. The English section went live on 24–25 October 2026, and Google crawled those URLs on 24–25 October. The data does not show that the English section caused the increase.
How the work runs
Mapping · €0
I look at what you sell and to whom, which queries that relates to and which pages already exist. You get a written plan: page structure, topics and what we publish first.
First version · 1–2 weeks
I build on your real content with technical SEO in place from day one. I show progress every couple of days; you confirm the content and the facts.
Launch and measurement · after the first version
Search Console, sitemap and an IndexNow notification. A month later we look at queries, clicks and speed, and decide what to add.
Price and timeline
The first version has a fixed price, agreed in writing before work starts. Writing the content is a separate part — it is usually what extends the timeline, so we settle the volume at the start.
- Mapping · €0One conversation and a written plan: structure, topics, first version.
- First version · 1–2 weeksService pages, technical SEO, schema, sitemap, measurement.
- Content · separate partA content plan from real search demand, drafts and editing.
- Maintenance · separateOptional monthly fee. New pages, articles, measurement and technical care; the size depends on volume and is set after the first version.
Questions about SEO-optimised websites
Is SEO included in the website price or do I order it separately?
Technical SEO is included: indexability, canonical, hreflang, sitemap, schema, speed and internal linking are built in, not added later. Content planning and article writing are a separate part if you want more than the service pages.
How long does a website build take?
The first working version is usually ready in 1–2 weeks when the texts and images exist. Larger software or a portal takes 2–3 weeks; multilingual or extensive content adds time, and that goes into the written proposal.
Do I have to write the content myself?
You can. If there is no text, I plan the content from real search demand and write the drafts; you confirm the facts, prices and promises, because they have to be true.
How do you measure whether SEO works?
Search Console queries and clicks, the number of indexed pages and Core Web Vitals measurements show the technical state and the traffic. Whether and how often your page appears in AI answers can be checked with hand-picked queries, not as an automatic metric.
What is this site itself built on?
The method I sell: a static site without heavy frameworks, schema.org markup on every page, a sitemap with real modification dates, hreflang pairs, robots.txt and llms.txt. Check it yourself — view the source.
